Chouinard is a small hillside winery located west of Pleasanton. A 1930s vintage redwood barn serves as the Chouinard winery and Tasting Room. This busy winery produces small lots of a dozen wine varieties, including a crisp California Champagne, a well-received old vine Zinfandel, Alicante Bouschet, and an aromatic Orange Muscat. The European-style setting, terraced vineyards, and wooded picnic grounds provide a perfect romantic ambience for the summer Music in the Vineyard series. The winery is also available for special gatherings and events.
